Top billing for Airsys in Round the Island Race

Icom UK recently sponsored Paul Mills, Business Account Manager of Airsys Communication Technology Ltd, one of our UK Commercial Distributors when he took part in the country’s largest and most famous yachting race, the Round the Island Race. The race took place at Cowes on the Isle of Wight on the 18th June 2005. Nearly 1,700 boats took part in the race and of them over 1,300 completed the 50-mile course around the island.

Paul Mills and his crew set sail in their Yacht, Contraction, at 09.20 and completed the course in a respectable 9hours 45mins. They finished 7th in their class of 70, in their division they finished 24 out of 200 and a fantastic 97 out of the 700 overall.
